Harold K. Schilling Dean's Graduate Scholarship
The Harold K. Schilling Dean’s Graduate Scholarship recognizes outstanding graduate students whose course of study is relevant to science, religion, and ethics, or whose studies involve critical societal benefits such as improvement of health, environment, or energy.
This annual scholarship was created in memory of Dr. Harold K. Schilling, professor and former dean of the Graduate School. Competition for this scholarship is open to graduate students who have achieved superior academic records or manifest promise of outstanding academic success with first preference given to graduate students whose course of study is relevant to science, religion, and ethics. In the event that no candidate meets the preferred requirements in a given year, consideration may be extended to graduate students whose studies involve critical societal benefits such as improvement of health, environment, and energy. University employees receiving educational privileges are not eligible for this University scholarship/award in accordance with Penn State policies HR36 and HR38.
Applications/nominations for the upcoming academic year will open in the August time frame.
